European Digital Skills Awards 2024

Following the success in 2023, the 2024 edition of the European Digital Skills Awards has been launched!

The European Digital Skills Awards 2024 will be held with the purpose of promoting projects that strengthen essential digital skills in people. This year, a new category dedicated to cybersecurity skills has been added.

The purpose of this initiative is to recognise and commemorate the outstanding work done by various organisations across Europe that have contributed to the advancement of digital skills through their projects, programmes and initiatives. If you want to be part of the drive towards digital innovation, inclusion in technology education or strengthening cybersecurity, this is your chance!

This year there are five different categories:

  • Digital Upskilling @ Work
  • Digital Skills for Education
  • Inclusion in the digital world
  • Women in ICT careers
  • Cybersecurity Skills

Eligibility criteria

  • Representatives of a public entity, a private company, an academic institution, a consortium of EU-funded projects, SMEs or large corporates, EU-funded project consortia, public administrations, NGOs and citizens´ initiatives.
  • The proposal or initiative must be an on-going project that has reached at least half of its stated objectives.
  • The applicant can be a project that has been completed no earlier than January 2023.
  • Projects that have already been submitted and selected as winners in EDSA23 are not eligible for re-application.
  • The project or initiative must be implemented in at least one Member State of the European Union. Projects that are also implemented in non-EU countries can be submitted if they can demonstrate their impact in EU Member States.

Projects with multiple partners can only submit one application, either by the project leader or by a partner with coordinator approval. Only one application is allowed for multi-country projects. Failure to comply leads to automatic rejection.

What are the prizes?

Winners for each category will receive:

  • Recognition and participation in the online event where the winners will be announced.
  • Dissemination of their initiative/project on the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform, together with promotion on social media @DigitalSkillsEU.
  • Award of a trophy and certificate.
  • Invitation to attend the award ceremony in Brussels, with travel and accommodation expenses covered by the organisers.
