Open Call to support the Implementation of EU Legislation on Cybersecurity and National Cybersecurity Strategies

This Open Call, launched under the European Commission’s Digital Europe Programme, aims to strengthen cybersecurity capacity and cooperation at different levels, and aligning with EU cybersecurity laws like the NIS2 Directive, the Cybersecurity Act, and the Directive on attacks against information systems. Additionally, it seeks to support the rollout of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) by boosting the ability of market surveillance and accreditation authorities to ensure its successful implementation.

Among other objectives, proposals should contribute to:

  • Improving the security of network and information systems in the EU and fostering coordination.
  • Improving the alignment of Member States’ implementations of NIS2 (Directive (EU) 2022/2555).
  • Supporting cybersecurity certification in line with the Cybersecurity Act.

The results from the work carried out in the projects funded under this action may include implementation, validation, piloting and deployment of technologies, tools and IT-based solutions, processes and methods for monitoring and handling cybersecurity incidents involving cybersecurity of providers of essential services and critical infrastructures, as well as other actors.

Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants should be legal entities (public or private bodies) established in one of the eligible countries (EU Member States, European Economic Area or Overseas Countries and Territories)

Funding

  • the total budget under this call is 20 million EUR
  • the call allocates indicatively between 2 and 4 million EUR per project but other amounts are not excluded.
