Digital skills beyond COVID-19

DIGITAL SME’s first online interview, Digital Skills beyond COVID-19, will take place on Friday, 17 April at 12:00 CET. The conversation between Mr Andrea Glorioso, Policy Officer at the European Commission, and Dr Stelian Brad, entrepreneur and professor in intelligent robotics and innovation management at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, will be moderated by our Secretary-General Sebastiano Toffaletti.

Since March 2020, most European countries have been in lockdown due to COVID-19. People and institutions’ dependence on digital services such as video conferencing and online collaboration tools have increased exponentially. By using these digital skills and services, staying safe at home while working or learning become possible.

But what needs to be done to make sure people can continue working during the lockdown? What are the skills that are required to work online and how can we jointly develop solutions and measures to navigate Europe’s economy through the crisis? In the long run, how can we ensure that employees and European companies are fit for the digital age? The purpose of this first online interview will be to contribute to the policy discussion around digital skills, especially during COVID-19.

Tune in to the live stream on our Facebook and Twitter channels Friday 17 April at 12:00 CET!
