Funding opportunity for SMEs in the digital and circular manufacturing domain

Funding opportunity for SMEs in the digital and circular manufacturing domain

Are you an SME developing innovative solutions in the digital manufacturing domain? Are you getting close to the market but need some support? Then we might have a solution for you!

The KYKLOS4.0 Offer for you

To support you with the application procedure and answer your questions, KYKLOS4.0 is organising an online Open Call info session on 21 September at 14:00 CEST. Register HERE.

What is it about?

Via its Open Call #2, KYKLOS 4.0 is looking for innovative solutions to improve digital manufacturing processes.

Proposals should deliver innovative solution(s) by defining a manufacturing scenario, which will be implemented as a pilot (experiment) in a manufacturing environment.

As part of the defined manufacturing scenario, the consortia will get the chance to adopt one or more services selected from the KYKLOS 4.0 platform, which should be integrated and validated during the experiment.

The KYKLOS4.0 services are related to Smart Design and Product Optimisation, more specifically:

  • Personalised product specification
  • Optimisation of Additive Manufacturing design
  • Maintenance optimisation
  • Advanced support for production
  • Resource use monitoring & optimisation

What do you need to do?

  • Build a consortium of 2 to 3 partners: *
    1. The lead partner must be a SME and technology provider.
    2. The second partner must be an industrial partner, which should serve as a pilot location where the solution will be validated and demonstrated.
    3. A third partner (SME) may participate, to support technology adoption or increase impact. *
  • Read carefully the Open Call guidelines and documentation and check whether you are eligible (criteria listed below).
  • The experiments should be implemented over a period of eight months, divided into three stages: Planning (1 month), Implementation (6 months), and Commercialisation & Business Sustainability (1 month).
  • Proposed solutions should demonstrate a high innovation potential and be ready to explore commercialisation opportunities by the end of the experiment period (August 2023). Further, proposals should clearly demonstrate the role of the circular manufacturing and economy within their experiments.
