Get Digital: Go Green & Be Resilient
In the context of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the European Commission’s Department for Internal Market (DG GROW) alongside DIGITAL SME and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) launched Get Digital: Go Green & Be Resilient. The initiative focuses on accelerating the uptake of innovative solutions that help industry become increasingly energy independent and supply chain resilient.

THE INITIATIVE
The unjustified Russian aggression in Ukraine has refocused international efforts on energy dependence and supply chain resilience. Some of the crucial issues faced by EU companies relate to raw materials, transport, energy costs and logistics.
With the Get Digital: Go Green & Be Resilient initiative, we created a catalogue featuring innovative digital solutions. Ten selected companies will get access to two workshops focused on showcasing and facilitating the acceleration of the uptake of innovative solutions that help European industry become increasingly energy independent and supply chain resilient.
A jury made up of independent investment and business managers selected the most impactful submissions. The companies will receive tailored coaching from experts of SME support services funded by relevant EU programmes such as the Enterprise Europe Network or Digital Innovation Hubs, identified based on the needs of each company’s project.
Moreover, the selected companies received a one-year membership to the European Digital Innovators Club – the DIGITAL SME network of innovative start-ups, SMEs and research institutions.

THE WORKSHOPS
To promote the initiative, the European Commission is organising two workshops to showcase the most impactful solutions:
- The first “Get Digital: Go Green” workshop, will have a focus on digital solutions that can reduce overall energy consumption within business operations.
- The second “Get Digital: Be Resilient” workshop, will zoom in on digital solutions supporting the supply chain resilience of European industry. For example, we are looking for solutions able to tackle supply chain disruptions that affect several sectors such as automotive, construction and agri-food allowing companies to remain competitive.
