About this Toolkit
This Sustainability Toolkit was created to support SMEs in navigating sustainability topics in a simple, guided way. It follows internationally recognized frameworks such as the GRI Standards. It is not a certification tool or audit, but a self-assessment and awareness-building resource for SMEs.
Purpose
This toolkit allows SMEs to generate a simple sustainability performance self-assessment based on GRI standards, the leading global framework for sustainability reporting, which have been simplified in this context to better suit the specific scope and needs of SMEs
Although SMEs are not yet directly targeted by EU sustainability reporting regulations and thus not obligated to comply, this tool provides a practical starting point for integrating sustainability into business operations and preparing for future stakeholder or regulatory expectations.
