Data spaces: pathways to greater data sharing and impact?

SMEs might be ready to begin data trading, but to fully participate in the data economy, access to larger sources of data is necessary. Data spaces allow companies and organisations to easily share relevant data, based on common standards, systems and infrastructure.

This lab session aims to answer the following questions:

  • How can SMEs know if they are ready to begin using data spaces to source and trade data?
  • What is the pathway to joining a data space?
  • What might be the consequences of joining an ecosystem that can be heavily reliant on AI and human collaborations?

Attendees will improve their understanding of data maturity, as well as how and why data spaces form and who joins them. Lastly, they will deepen their knowledge on how new technologies are changing the way that data space participants are collaborating.
