The World Economic Forum estimates that by 2030, 70% of the new value created in the whole economy will be digitally enabled.

Digital sovereignty
In Europe, digital industries employ 6.8 million workers in 1.2 million firms, of which more than 99.8 % are SMEs.
A spiking employment
In 2021, almost 9 million people in the EU worked as ICT specialist, representing 4.5% of the total EU workforce. The demand had grown by 57.8% from 2012 to 2022, nearly 6.6 times the growth rate for employment.
Boosting competitiveness
In 2019, the digital ecosystem registered in Europe an annual turnover of €625 billion, representing 5.17% of EU value added.

The digital-LSP brings together stakeholders committed to up- and reskill the European workforce as currently required by the labour market. Its targets are driven and sustained by the combined efforts of all Industrial Ecosystems. The condition? Collaboration and exchange of best practices.
Contributing to the Digital Decade targets
80% of people with basic digital skills and reaching 20 million ICT specialists employed in the EU by 2030, including achieving gender convergence.
Digitalizing the European Economy
75% of European enterprises to take up cloud computing services, big data and Artificial Intelligence. More than 90% of European SMEs to achieve at least a basic level of digital intensity.
Promoting a culture of Lifelong Learning
60% of adults to participate in learning programs every year, with a focus on career re-orientation jobs.
A Public Administration fit for the digital world
100% of key public services accessible and usable online, including access to medical records and to digital ID.
Actions
As a general condition, members of the digital-LSP should commit and contribute to the following actions with a proactive and proactive attitude:
Maximising the impact of investing in up- and reskilling
Setting good practice examples and providing support to European enterprises and citizens in digital up- and reskilling, building upon available resources and initiatives.
Creating synergies and collaboration among members
Becoming the core hub for networking, setting up examples and scaling up best practices, tools and initiatives, to encourage other actors in the ecosystem to take up similar actions.
Enabling the digitalisation of the Single Market
Supporting the industrial ecosystems in their digital transition through the implementation of the skills pillar of the transformation pathways identified for each sector.
Funding and EU-Projects Matchmaking
Informing and facilitating the creation of project consortia upon the launch of relevant calls for digital skills from the Digital Europe Programme and the Erasmus+ programme.
