DIGITAL SME recruits Guido Sabatini as new project manager

DIGITAL SME is pleased to announce the recent addition of a new project manager its team: Guido Sabatini.

Guido started working at DIGITAL SME on Monday 3 July 2017. He joined the growing team at the Brussels secretariat.

His responsibilities will focus on standardisation related projects. These include a close cooperation with Small Business Standards – SBS, in for the ICT sector. SBS is the European association representing small and medium-sized enterprises’ interests in the standardisation process.

Among other tasks, Guido Sabatini will strengthen the participation of DIGITAL SME in the Horizon 2020 project SABINA. The project is a collaborative R&D initiative that aims to develop new digital models to improve energy efficiency in buildings.

After obtaining a Master Degree as environmental engineer at Lund University in Sweden, Guido Sabatini gained international experience at organisations such as United Nations and the European Commission.

Since 2015, he has worked for the European Builders Confederation, the trade association that defends construction SMEs. He represented the organisation as expert in the CEN Technical Committee 442 on Building Information Modelling.

DIGITAL SME warmly welcomes its new team member and is confident that his competences will play an important role for the progress of ICT small and medium-sized enterprises in the standardisation arena.
