New member in the European DIGITAL SME Alliance: CLUSIT the Italian association for information security
The Italian association for information security, CLUSIT, is a new member of the European DIGITAL SME Alliance.
Launched on 15 March 2016 at the CeBIT of Hannover, the European DIGITAL SME Alliance is a Brussels based international non-for profit association that promotes the interests of European digital SMEs in the EU. Its members represent more than 20.000 companies in the IT sector across Europe.
CLUSIT is the largest Italian association in the field of information security. Founded in the year 2000 at the Computer Science department of the University of Milan, CLUSIT is now at the forefront of the Italian initiatives for cyber security with more than 500 members from a wide range of sectors.
Dr. Oliver Grün, president of the European DIGITAL SME Alliance welcomed the membership of CLUSIT: “The Italian association for information security is an important partner for our Alliance. We will closely collaborate with CLUSIT in order to strengthen the cyber security in digital SMEs across Europe”.
Gabriele Faggioli, President of CLUSIT, commented “The European DIGITAL SME Alliance represents an exciting opportunity for CLUSIT to considerably extend the scope of its main mission to promote culture and awareness on information security topics from Italy to all Europe while focusing on the key component of Italian economy: SMEs.
