PIN-SME President Oliver Grün at the Franco-German Digital Conference in Paris
On October 27th 2015 Dr. Oliver Grün, president of PIN-SME, represented the German IT SME association, Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand eV (BITMI), at the Franco-German Digital Conference in Paris.
French President François Hollande welcomed on this Conference the German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel, Federal Minister Sigmar Gabriel, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and the Vice-President of the European Commission Andrus Ansip. The conference was attended by over 400 high-level representatives of start-ups, international companies and public institutions, including the Young Digital Economy Advisory Board.
One of the conference highlights was the presentation action plan for “Digital Innovation and Digital Transformation in Europe” elaborated by Young Digital Economy Advisory Board together with the French Digital Council (Conseil national du numérique). The action plan, welcomed by German Economics Minister Gabriel and his colleague Macron, includes15 proposals for the joint development of the Digital Single Market in Europe and the strengthening of competiveness of Europe’s digital economy on the international scene.
