Public Consultation on the Network and Information Systems Directive Implementation

The NIS2 Directive represents a major advancement in EU cybersecurity, expanding on its predecessor to cover more sectors and impose stricter requirements for managing cyber risks, incident responses, and supply chain security. It applies to essential and important entities, including SMEs in industries like healthcare, energy, transport, and digital infrastructure. For SMEs, NIS2 presents both challenges and opportunities. Compliance may demand more effort in new processes and technical measures, but it can also position SMEs as trusted partners in the digital ecosystem.

To explore how SMEs are adapting to these requirements, the European DIGITAL SME Alliance is launching a Europe-wide, cross-sectoral 10 minute survey to gather insights on how SMEs perceive, prepare for, and respond to NIS2. Survey participants will receive premium access to the results and to the forthcoming NIS2 Guide, a practical resource designed to help SMEs achieve compliance effectively, which will be launched early in 2025. By contributing your perspective, you are helping us ensure that SMEs’ needs are prioritised in future policy discussions while also gaining access to tools and insights to support your own compliance journey.

The survey is made up of two parts and should not take longer than 10 minutes.
