Two new staff members join the DIGITAL SME’s Brussels secretariat
Two new professionals will boost our team. Welcome, Antonio and Maria!
Europe’s 25 million European SMEs employ almost 100 million people and are the backbone of our industry and economy. Thus, the European DIGITAL SME Alliance is dedicated to representing the interests of small and medium enterprises in the ICT sector. This month, DIGITAL SME is pleased to add two new staff members to our growing Brussels secretariat! We welcome Antonio Grasso and Maria Vlachou.
Antonio Grasso
As EU Policy Director, Antonio leads DIGITAL SME’s policy work and advance its priorities in line with the mission to put digital SMEs at the centre of the European agenda. With over six years of experience in EU policy, Antonio previously worked for an organisation active in the healthcare sector, being responsible for its economic and health policy dossiers, and contributing to the representation of the organisation in several multi-stakeholder fora at EU level.
Maria Vlachou
Maria is the Events and Communication Officer at the organisation. She holds Bachelor and Master diplomas in Audio Visual Arts from Ionian University in Greece. The past years, she has worked in the field in different roles in four European countries with the latest experience at EPP group in the European Parliament as a videographer. She joins DIGITAL SME to strengthen the Events and Communication team, and build a stronger connection between SMEs and the European Union.
