SHIFTHUB Online DemoDay @Leipzig
The SHIFTHUB Online DemoDay @Leipzig, organised by the SHIFT-HUB Horizon Europe Project, the Medical Informatics Center – Dept. Medical Data Science of the University of Leipzig and the Institute for Biomedical Informatics of the University Hospital Cologne, was a great opportunity to discover, demonstrate technology solutions and test them before investing in the Digital Health ecosystem.
Information on the Demonstrations:

myScribe aims to substantially reduce the documentation workload for doctors by automatising the documentation process in an intuitive web application with the help of Natural Language Processing (NLP). All bullet-point text and voice entries made by the medical staff are automatically completed based on previous patient histories.
Through the simple entry of patient-specific tasks, examination results and other data, visit lists as well as doctor’s letters are automatically generated and produced by a AI-supported text generation in order to reduce the documentation effort.
PURAITE is a young start-up and its core technology is a AI-powered search engine geared towards medical researchers.
We aim to revolutionize the way academia conducts research by focusing on the following core values:
- Minimizing Time-to-Insight by accelerating the speed in which life science researchers gain insights
- Access for All: We believe that everyone, no matter the geography, should have access to the tools they need to advance their research. That’s why we offer our basic product free of charge to everyone
- Cutting-Edge AI Technology: Our state-of-the-art machine learning approach empowers researchers everywhere to push the boundaries of discovery
Commitment to Making a Positive Impact: We are committed to help academia improve the single most important asset: Health

Goya Health is a gamechanging platform for Seamless Healthcare Invoice Management. The Goya Billing Platform streamlines invoicing, dunning, and reimbursement services with the highest efficiency. It offers security, up-to-date features, and a future-oriented approach for simplifying healthcare billing.
The AMPEL-CDSS is a digital infrastructure that enables clinical AI applications in routine healthcare. It increases patient safety by detecting critical situations in real-time.
The AMPEL-CDSS monitors the entire clinic and alerts as needed via email, phone, or the digital workplace on the ward. An example is the detection of the refeeding syndrome, a rare and difficult to detect condition: More than half of all cases detected by AMPEL would go unnoticed without the Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS).
From 2024 onward, AMPEL will be expanded as an open-source initiative, led by the University of Leipzig Medical Faculty. The focus lies on creating an AI infrastructure for healthcare with the highest standards of transparency, adaptability, and interoperability. As the leading CDSS in Germany in terms of scope and evidence, AMPEL aims to set future standards for transferring state-of-the-art medical evidence into routine care and accelerate the research of digital assistants in hospitals.
