DIGITAL SME summit 2025
The DIGITAL SME summit 2025 is the flagship event of Europe’s tech-SME innovators, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and academics to shape a sovereign, competitive, and resilient digital future for Europe. The event will take place on 4 December 2025 at the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.
At the core of this vision is the EuroStack—a European technological stack designed to foster independence, innovation, and security across key digital domains. With tech SMEs at its foundation, the EuroStack offers a viable, homegrown alternative to dominant non-European platforms.
Europe currently relies on non-European technologies for over 80% of its digital products and services. This overdependence underscores the urgent need for a bold, coordinated digital industrial policy. Last year, Executive Vice-President Virkkunen highlighted this urgency by announcing €700 million in investments into AI factories—an important step to boost Europe’s computing capacity and leadership in the global AI landscape.
Through interactive debates and business-oriented sessions, this year’s edition will turn the overarching goal of achieving European tech sovereignty into a tangible, actionable agenda.
